Diferentes Estruturas em uma Mesma Estrutura: a cadeia de suprimentos reinterpretada

Resumo


A temática de cadeia de suprimentos está sendo cada vez mais enfatizada em perspectivas organizacionais. A abordagem tradicional de cadeias restringe-se a representar as organizações que a compõem com retângulos ou quadrados idênticos, o que manifestaria a similaridade entre elas. Essas organizações, no entanto, apresentam estruturas específicas, que, em conjunto, dão origem a outra estrutura que se refere à da própria cadeia de suprimentos. Assim, este ensaio teórico tem o objetivo de apresentar os diversos fatores que devem ser analisados para melhor compreender a estrutura de uma determinada cadeia de suprimentos (tamanho, tecnologia, ambiente, escolhas estratégicas, poder e estruturas das organizações que a compõem), especialmente em relação às suas características de centralização, formalização e complexidade. Por meio da perspectiva aqui apresentada, pesquisadores e profissionais podem melhor aproximar-se da realidade complexa nas quais as cadeias de suprimentos estão inseridas.
